Product Benefits
How to Use
- Prepare your skin
Apply 3–6 pumps of oil onto clean, slightly damp skin. - Begin your ritual
Glide your gua sha tool or hands with gentle to medium pressure along the body.
Most strokes move downward for release (legs, arms, back) — while some areas (like the chest or neck) may flow upward to open and lift. - Breathe & connect
Take slow, mindful breaths as you work, allowing the warmth of oil to activate circulation and restore balance. - Aftercare
Use daily as part of your gua sha ritual, post-shower body care, or whenever you need grounding and renewal.
This is more than skincare — it’s a ritual to come home to your body. I use it daily to reset, breathe, and glow.

Angelica Root

A revered herb traditionally used to promote circulation and relieve stagnation, Angelica Root helps relax muscle tension, ease fatigue, and enhance skin’s natural radiance. Often used in body rituals to support flow and balance, it’s especially valued for its ability to nurture the skin while grounding the senses.
Neroli

Extracted from orange blossoms, Neroli is cherished for its delicate floral aroma and skin-renewing properties. It helps boost hydration, soften the skin, and reduce visible signs of stress or fatigue. Emotionally, it has a deep calming effect, making it perfect for enhancing massage rituals with a sense of serenity and self-connection.
Osmanthus

A rare and precious flower native to East Asia, Osmanthus is prized for its sweet, fruity-floral scent and subtle warming character. It brings a uniquely elevated aromatic dimension while also nourishing dry or dull skin. Culturally symbolic of refinement and harmony, Osmanthus offers a beautiful balance of comfort and luxury.
Artemisia argyi

Known in herbal wellness for its cleansing, warming, and calming properties, this traditional plant supports detoxifying massage techniques and can help relieve areas of built-up tension or puffiness. It’s often used in Eastern practices to rebalance qi (energy) and is ideal for deep, therapeutic body work.
Ginger

Warming and energizing, Ginger is a go-to for activating circulation, easing stiffness, and promoting deep muscle relief. Its subtle spiciness brings a cozy, nurturing quality to the massage experience—especially beneficial in colder months or for those with cold, tense areas in the body.
Bergamot FCF

This bright citrus offers a soft, mood-lifting aroma that is both energizing and soothing. The FCF (furanocoumarin-free) version ensures it's safe for daytime use, reducing photosensitivity. Bergamot helps purify and tone the skin, leaving it feeling fresh and revitalized—perfect post-exercise or as part of a daily ritual.
Eucalyptus

Brisk and revitalizing, Eucalyptus helps open the senses, support breathing, and release muscular discomfort. A staple in post-workout recovery and wellness spas, it leaves a crisp, refreshed feeling on the skin.
Grapefruit

Refreshing and clarifying, Grapefruit is a favorite in wellness treatments for its role in supporting lymphatic drainage, invigorating circulation, and promoting skin brightness. Its crisp citrus scent uplifts the mood and enlivens the senses.
Spearmint

Gentler than peppermint but equally refreshing, Spearmint provides a cooling, tension-releasing effect on both skin and mind. It’s especially suited for post-workout muscle care or calming tired legs and shoulders after long days.
Sandalwood

A sacred wood used in spiritual and meditative rituals, Sandalwood brings a soft, creamy warmth to the blend. Known for its ability to balance sebum, deeply hydrate, and calm both skin and mood, it’s a grounding finish that leaves a lasting impression of calm.
Lavender

Known worldwide as a soothing essential, Lavender helps calm both skin and mind. It supports skin regeneration, soothes irritation, and invites relaxation—ideal for winding down after a long day or pairing with evening rituals.
Frankincense

This ancient resin is known to tone and tighten the skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and support a deep, restorative calm. Often used in deep tissue massage, Frankincense enhances the experience of inner stillness and outer renewal.

Sangyay
Gua sha found me long before it found the internet.
I learned it as a child — from my aunt, the woman who raised me. It wasn't a beauty ritual. It was just what we did when something hurt, when stress built up, when the body needed to reset. Back pain, headaches, tension, a cold coming on — gua sha was the answer. My aunt would make a concoction of whatever the body needed — raw ginger from the kitchen, various botanical oils and herbs, ingredients that made the whole house smell medicinal. It was messy. It wasn’t aesthetic. But it always worked.
I've been doing it on my own for years. Every few months, or whenever I feel overwhelmed or run down, ten minutes with a tool and the right oil changes something. Not just physically — something deeper shifts too.
When I finally shared my practice online, I was nervous. It looks intense. But the response reminded me how many people are searching for something real, something rooted, something that truly works.
That history is what I brought into this collaboration. When Sha and I talked about creating this oil, I knew it had to respect the practice — not just make it prettier. Together, we chose botanicals that support gua sha the way I learned it: warming the body, encouraging circulation, helping release what’s been held too long.
This oil connects me back to my aunt, to my roots, and to the practice that carried me through breakups, burnout, and the quiet work of healing.
I made this for anyone ready to stop performing wellness and actually feel it.
Together, we’ve created a ceremony in a bottle.

Sha
When Sangyay and I first talked about creating this oil together, I knew it had to be more than just another product. It had to feel like a ritual.
I grew up in a family where Traditional Chinese Medicine was simply part of life. My grandmother taught me that beauty and health are inseparable: nourish your qi, nourish your glow. Herbs like angelica root and goji berry were as common in our home as rice or tea.
When Sangyay shared her gua sha practice and love for Eastern wellness, our visions aligned perfectly.
What We Created Together
This oil works with your body's natural energy flow—warming the skin, easing tension, inviting you to reconnect through intentional touch.
Every bottle is hand-poured in small batches, with botanicals chosen to:
- Warm the body and stimulate circulation
- Release muscular and energetic tension
- Rebalance your flow of qi
Why It's Special
For me, this oil bridges my family's heritage and modern self-care. For Sangyay, it's a way to share the deep connection she's built with her body through years of practice.
Together, we've created a ceremony in a bottle.
— Sha
Gua Sha exists at the intersection of traditional Chinese Medicine and modern experience
For thousands of years, gua sha has been treasured in Traditional Chinese Medicine as a way to restore balance, move stagnant qi, and release deep tension. It was never just about beauty — it was about health, energy, and harmony.
Today, gua sha has found its place in modern self-care. With every glide of the tool, you’re not only supporting circulation and glowing skin, you’re creating a moment to reconnect with your body and release what no longer serves you.
This is the meeting point of tradition and today: a ritual that carries ancient wisdom into the modern world, helping you feel radiant, balanced, and deeply at home in yourself.

FAQs
Those red marks look intense. Is this safe?
I understand the concern. Here's the truth:
The marks aren't bruises. They're petechiae — a controlled therapeutic response where stagnant blood is brought to the surface.
Think of it like cupping (which leaves similar marks). Your body is clearing out old, stuck blood to make room for fresh circulation.
They fade in 24-48 hours. And when they do, you're left with relief, not damage.
You control the intensity. Light pressure = minimal marking. Deeper pressure = more release.
Start gentle. As your body adapts, you can go deeper. Eventually you'll mark less because there's less stagnation to clear.
Will this replace my massage therapist?
Different tools for different purposes.
Massage is someone else doing work ON your body.
Gua sha is YOU doing work WITH your body.
Massage is still valuable for specific issues or deep relaxation. But for chronic tension maintenance? Gua sha is more sustainable.
Many of our users go from 2 massages/month to 1 every 2-3 months (just for maintenance or when they want to be pampered).
The rest of the time? They've got this.
How is this different from a massage gun or foam roller?
Foam rolling: Surface pressure on muscles. Doesn't address fascia deeply or move Qi.
Massage gun: Percussion therapy. Good for acute muscle tightness. Doesn't provide the gliding, lymphatic, energetic component.
Gua sha with the right oil:
- Fascia release (deeper layer)
- Lymphatic drainage
- Qi activation
- Nervous system regulation
- Circulation enhancement
It's addressing multiple systems simultaneously. Not just muscles.
Do I need a special tool?
Yes — and we've got you covered.
We've partnered with traditional craftsmen to create the perfect companion tool: a hand-carved buffalo horn gua sha tool specifically designed for body work.
Why buffalo horn?
- Traditional material used for centuries
- Naturally smooth (won't scratch or irritate)
- Perfect weight and thickness for body work
- Durable (lasts years with proper care)
- Holds warmth from the oil beautifully
This isn't a delicate facial tool. It's body-sized with edges designed for larger muscle groups.
The best part? When you puchase, you'll get the tool FREE as part of your launch package.
How often do I need to do this?
That's between you and your body.
Minimum effective dose: Once a week will yield benefits.
Most common: 2-3 times per week (10 minutes each).
Sangyay's routine: Nearly daily (because she loves it).
There's no "wrong" frequency. The marks need 24-48 hours to fade, so that's a natural pacing mechanism. But you can do lighter sessions more frequently.
Listen to your body. It will tell you what it needs.
I'm not 'into' Eastern medicine. Will this still work?
Fair question. I get it.
Here's the thing: You don't have to believe in Qi for this to work.
The Western scientific explanation is just as valid:
- Fascial release
- Increased microcirculation
- Lymphatic drainage
- Nervous system regulation
Call it "Qi" or call it "improved tissue perfusion and autonomic regulation." The results are the same.
The practice works regardless of your belief system.
What if I have sensitive skin?
The oil is formulated with sensitive skin in mind:
- No synthetic fragrances
- No harsh chemicals
- Plant-based, clean ingredients
- Anti-inflammatory botanicals (not irritating)
That said, always patch test if you're concerned. Apply a small amount to your inner arm, wait 24 hours.
The redness from gua sha itself is temporary and therapeutic, not an allergic reaction. But if you have specific skin conditions, consult your healthcare provider.
How long does one bottle last?
Depends on frequency and how much you use per session.
Average: 2-3 months with 2-3 sessions per week.
You need less than you think — a little goes a long way with this concentration. About a quarter-sized amount per area.
Cost breakdown:
- One bottle: Limited first-batch pricing
- Per session cost: Less than $2
- Vs. massage: $200 for 3 days of relief
The ROI is incredible.
Can I use this on my face too?
You can, but it's formulated specifically for body work.
Face has thinner, more delicate skin. Body gua sha requires more substantial formulation for deeper penetration.
Beyond Chi has facial products if you want to incorporate facial gua sha. But this oil is optimized for neck, shoulders, arms, legs, back — the areas where you hold chronic tension.
